I think we can now agree that most people getting married today (in the UK and US) do not walk down the altar as virgins. How do we normally tell whether or not a girl is promiscuous?

I guess you could ask but them again she could lie. I really don’t know how you could tell beyond that. I am a virgin and people believe me when I say it mostly because I am quiet and shy and don’t date a whole lot. But then again a girl who does date a lot can still be one. I guess you have to ask and choose whether you want to trust what she says or not.

usually you can tell by the type of friends girls have, if their friends are really promiscuous than most likely they are too. but i have to say i respect you, cause i’m a girl and a virgin and its nice to know that guys like that are still out there = )

Only way to know is ask. And just because she’s not a virgin doesn’t make her promiscuous – if she tries to jump you on the first date is usually a good sign though.

If you’re dating or are looking for a serious relationship and don’t want to be speaking with someone who has "gotten around", then I suggest you do the following: If you’re on a date, be straight forward. Tell the woman that you’re not looking to have sex until marriage, and if she doesn’t feel the same then that’s that. Problem solved, you can move onto the next girl. Also, to whoever said that if the woman’s hymen is broken then she is promiscuous, that’s a myth. Hymens break in many ways that don’t always involve sex.
