You need to use a real photo that is natural-looking and not overly staged. A genuine-looking photo is the best way for you to generate interest in your profile. By contrast, a fake photo or a photo of you looking as perfect as possible is not a good idea, you may disappoint someone when they meet you and this will make all parties feel badly.
Similarly, don’t use a photo that has been retouched, or one that doesn’t look like you normally look. You may be tempted to include more information because you think that this increases your chances of attracting the right person. Not true. You can actually turn someone off if you come across as tiresome or long-winded.
